Awongalema

Once upon a time, in the extremly hot, desert-like part of Africa, there was no food or water. The animals were gathered around the bare Acacia tree trying to remember the magic word that would produce tasty fruit on the tree. Ronda Rhino decided to send Serena the speedy Cheetah up the mountain to talk to the wise old spirits. Serena sprinted as quickly as she could all the way up the enormous rocky mountain. When she reached the top, she found the mysterious spirit cave full of creepy spider webs. Serena called out to the the spirits, “Mountain spirits, Mountain spirits, “what is the magic word”? The spirits echoed back “Awongalema”, Serena said “great now I know the magic word”. So Serena ran back down the freezing mountain until she Crashed into an Ant hill. Then Serena tried to flick all the ants of but the ants were all in his ears and up his nose, finally she got the Ants of. Then she returned back to the Acacia tree, the animals said “what is the magic word”? Serena replied with a sad face “I… I… I forgot”. Then Leo the lion said I’ll go, so Leo went up the mountain feeling proud, then he said to the Mountain spirits “Mountain spirits Mountain spirits what’s the magic word”? The Mountain echoed back “Awongalema”. Leo the Lion said great now I know the magic word , so he ran back down the Mountain as fast as he could until he ran into the ant hill he was trying to scratch them off and flick them of but they were all in his ears and in his tail, until he finally got all the ants of. Then he went back down to the animals, all the animals called excitedly “what’s the magic word”? the Tiger said “ Uh Uh Uh… I forgot”. So they decided to send a slow animal the tortoise answered “I’ll go” so they sent the tortoise to go. So the Tortoise crawled slowly up the Mountain and asked the Mountain spirits the magic word they said “Awongalema”. And the Tortoise went slowly back down the Mountain and doged the ant hill and made it back down the Mountain. All the animals called excitedly “what’s the magic word”? and the Tortoise said happily “Awongalema”. So all the animals called the “Awongalema!” and it work the Acacia tree filled up with some fruit for the starving animals to eat, and anytime they wanted some food they would just call Awongalema.
